Welcome to the house that Bieber built.
Scooter Braun, the young and massively successful impresario credited with discovering Justin Bieber on YouTube and introducing the world to “Bieber Fever,” is living large in an incredible Los Angeles estate. The home recently came to our attention via numerous glowing articles about Braun and his impressive journey to become one of the most successful talent managers of the current era. In May of this year, Forbes called Braun “Bieber’s Business Brain” and described how he hustles and makes musical magic happen from his Hollywood Hills estate. In an in-depth feature in the incomparable “The New Yorker” magazine, Braun was dubbed ”The Mogul Who Made Just Bieber” and it was noted ”the home is the center of operations for Braun’s blossoming mini-moguldom.”
The property that each of these reports are referring to is a large, modern 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom bachelor pad with walls of windows overlooking Los Angeles that Braun bought late last summer for $5.7 million from Kevin Lee Washington, an under-the-radar inventor.
As “The New Yorker” describes, “to get to the front door, you walk on slate stepping stones through a koi pond.” As you can see in the listing photos from 2011, the estate is big and bold. Braun also told the reporter that he wasn’t going to stop there: he’s buying the house next door to tear it down and put in a basketball court. That’s quite the compound – and the perfect location to launch and manage the careers of music’s current and upcoming megastars!
Before Braun bought the home, it was marketed as an “exciting architectural with enormous scale.” As any home must be in Los Angeles, Braun’s pad is perfect for indoor/outdoor living and grand entertaining. Naturally light and bright, the house is both stylish and sophisticated. It boasts a 22 foot entryway, great art walls and endless glass that showcases the massive views across Los Angeles. Just minutes up Doheny, Braun’s pad possesses a rare flat backyard and is punctuated by an infinity pool & spa, outdoor shower, cabana with plasma TV and fire pit, kitchen and BBQ.
Now that’s something to sing about.

New York Yankee shortstop known for playing the field professionally and personally

For once in his career, Derek Jeter is sliding away from home. His longtime New York City home, to be exact. Just this week, Jeter sold his 88th-floor penthouse to Brazilian business man Claudio Ferro for $15.5 million, as first reported by the New York Post.
Jeter bought the penthouse pad at Trump Tower directly from Donald Trump himself for $12.72 million in 2001. After almost a decade in the penthouse, he listed the East Side apartment for $20 million in 2010. No buyer stepped up to the plate and Jeter made the call to take it off the market. In April, the bonafide bachelor pad was back with a lower asking price – $17.95 million. Jeter didn’t get his full asking price for the home, but it was in no way a botched play. Jeter’s final sales price was still a cool $3 million more than what he paid for it.
So now the home is being traded to Ferro, and he’s getting an all-star abode! The 88th floor penthouse is set high amidst the tallest residential building on the eastside, the Trump World Tower. The location offers un-paralleled views of the Manhattan skyline and this particular penthouse has a bird’s eye view of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Bank of America building, One World Trade and other key landmarked buildings framed by the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Verrazano Bridges and the East & Hudson Rivers – the picturesque views are unsurpassed. Complimenting the views – Jeter’s former penthouse features 16 foot floor-to-ceiling windows, 4 bedrooms, 5.5 baths with 77 feet in length of grand entertaining space encompassing the living room, billiards room and formal dining room. A Creston system controls the lighting, audio, video and privacy shades with one touch of a button. Adding warmth and texture to the apartment is a wood burning fireplace, ultra-suede wallpaper, slate mantle and hardwood flooring.
Word on the street is that Jeter hasn’t yet put down more of his millions on a new place. He’s been staying under the radar and hopping from hotel-to-hotel until he finds another bachelor pad. But don’t worry about him not having a place to call home. He still owns this sprawling estate in Florida.

Bachelor pads are notoriously stereotyped as messy, poorly-taken-care-of dwellings with clothes all over the floor and an empty refrigerator. Enter Derek Jeter, who can officially counter that stereotype with his bachelor party penthouse at Trump World Tower. Newly RELISTED for $17,950,000, this isn’t the first time Jeter attempted to hit a real estate home run. According to the fine folks at Curbed, Jeter tried to to unload the home for $20 million big ones two years ago.

Swank bachelor pads are all the rage for Hollywood’s A-list. When there isn’t a woman in the picture, it’s pretty much assumed that Hollywood’s high rollers will be living large in an ultra-posh bachelor pad. After his recent split with Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher was seen spending hours at a $10.8m Hollywood Hills hideaway. Now, we’re hearing rumblings that the latest unmarried actor on the hunt for his perfect home is none other than funnyman Jim Carrey.
Carrey has been on a lengthy hunt for New York City pads in the $5-$8 million dollar range, but he recently decided to step it up a notch and toured a lavish $13.65 million dollar townhome at 233 West 20th Street in the chic Chelsea neighborhood.
Clocking in at 6-bedrooms, 6 full and 4 half bathrooms and more than 7,000 square feet, the listing claims that “no detail has been overlooked in the painstaking renovation of this 25-foot wide townhouse.” While the home was built in 1824, the upgrades make this home seem brand new. Stretched over six luxuriously appointed floors, plus a garden level, this home makes ingenious use of its size.
Upon entering the townhome, a grand entrance foyer with an oversized passenger elevator welcomes visitors and a bright and cheerful living room beckons. One flight above is the grand master suite, including two full bathrooms and an enormous windowed dressing room. Above, four additional bedrooms, and three more bathrooms round out the living quarters. A separate retreat atop the house are perfect for entertaining; here, a family room and parlor, connected via a kitchen, is designed for privacy and comfort. Crowning this magnificent New York City home is a sun-soaked solarium, flanked by terraces to the north and south.
At the garden level, you’ll find a spectacular custom-designed Neff kitchen that opens fluidly into the adjacent garden. This level also houses a staff room with en suite bath.
If Carrey does decide to make an offer, he’d be the proud owner of one enviable and over-the-top bachelor pad.
