Perfect for a sun worshiper with deep pockets, DiCaprio’s place can be yours for $150,000 a month for a short-term lease (less than 6 months) or $75,000 a month if you want to stay longer.

DiCaprio currently owns 2 homes in Malibu, and purchased this particular home at  23736 Malibu Colony Road on October 9, 2002 for $6,000,000. The home has 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 2,633 square feet. DiCaprio just completed a beautiful remodel in time for summer and is now ready to lease the home out to someone who wants a temporary taste of how the stars live. The unique property has a 4-bedroom main house on the stunning Malibu ocean-front, as well as a 2-bedroom detached guest house, and a third detached loft with gym, media room, seventh bedroom and office area. Unique to a home right on the water, DiCaprio’s home has beautiful gardens and lawns. Consider it a beachfront luxury compound!

Iconic crooner Barry Manilow is singing the real estate blues in Malibu. The singer of “Mandy” and “Can’t Smile Without You” first listed the home in early 2009 for $12,600,000. Four months, later he switched agents and dropped the price to $10,900,000. With no buyer, the home came off the market but made a reappearance in March 2010 for $9,150,000. Now, it’s back!

According to the Real Estalker, Manilow purchased the home in 2002 for $3,850,000. Now, it’s listed at a much more down-to-earth (and realistic) price of $6,950,000. Will a buyer come along and finally make Manilow “smile?” We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, let’s get into the juicy details of his hard-to-sell home:

Tori Spelling and her husband, actor Dean McDermott are new buyers in the seaside town of Malibu. Purchased on September 29, 2011 for $2,400,000, Tori and Dean’s new home has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and clocks in at 2,052 square feet. The Los Angeles Times describes the property as being “covered in native landscaping, organic gardens and lawn. The single-story home, built in the 1960s and since renovated, features bamboo floors, a vaulted living room ceiling, and a wall of built-in book shelves. Custom-built sliding doors lead outside to multiple decks and sitting areas.”

Tori and Dean just welcomed their third child, a daughter named Hattie. In the midst of all this home buying and baby-having, the Spelling-McDermott clan also found the time to sell their six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom, 6,718 square-foot Tuscan-style villa in Encino, CA. Tori has been vocal in the press and gossip magazines about her desire for more and more children. With the three she has now, and any more that may come along, they’ll quickly outgrow their brand new Malibu digs.

Here at Trulia, we don’t have a crystal ball, but we can see that Tori and Dean’s newly-purchased Malibu home is 4,000 square feet smaller than the home they just sold in Encino. Normally we don’t see a growing Hollywood family downsize that significantly. What we do know is that the new house is in a prime Malibu location and sits on about 1.75 acres – the perfect amount of space to knock down the existing property and build something bigger and better.
