Her Madgesty, Madonna, just listed her New York palace on the market for $23,500,000! First reported by The Real Estalker, the for-sale property is Madonna’s long-time New York City duplex on the Upper West Side–the same one that was immortalized in the pages of Architectural Digest in 1991. The unit that ‘used to be her playground’ is actually three separate apartments that have been combined over time. Here’s a quick flashback: Madonna and Sean Penn bought the first of the three apartments in 1986. The second, adjacent apartment was purchased after their divorce a couple of years later, and the third and final one was acquired six months later, rounding out the massive spread.
The pricey, pieced-together pad is now a two-story duplex that engulfs the 5th and 6th floors of Harperley Hall, a building known for its broad central courtyard entrance with manned gate house, sidewalk landscaping, balconies, and terracotta detailing.
Inside, Madge’s fancy duplex consists of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread across four wings and 6,000 square-feet. The perfect place for any ‘Material Girl,’ the 15-room home also possesses 10-plus- foot ceilings, five wood burning fireplaces, and 110 feet of frontage on Central Park. According to Architectural Digest, the home was meticulously designed by Madonna’s younger brother and trusted confidante Christopher G. Ciccone.
If you want to take these digs off Madonna’s hands, you better count your ‘Lucky stars’ — and pennies — and get in touch with listing agent Arabella Greene Buckworth, because this place will likely get snapped up quicker than a ‘Ray of Light.’
So where will Madonna decamp? We suspect she’s already happily nested in her OTHER high-priced NYC home. In 2009, Madonna paid $32,500,000 for a 13-bedroom, 12-bathroom, 12,000-square-foot urban mansion on E. 81st Street. Aside from her real estate holdings in The Big Apple, Madonna owns a private, $12 million-dollar estate on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills and an East Coast vacation home in Bridgehampton, which she purchased from Calvin Klein’s ex-wife Kelly in 2009.

‘Weeds’ actress Mary Louise Parker is saying sayonara to the Big Apple apartment she’s owned since the mid-2000′s. According to The Real Estalker and the brand new listing, Parker is asking $7 million for her 10-room NYC duplex at 32 Washington Square West.
Let’s “weed” through the details of this high-priced home: new to the market, this Pre-War, 1925 duplex radiates warmth and charm while affording grand scale proportion and abundant entertaining and private chambers. Combinations of this size are rare and Parker’s home features five bedrooms, four and a half bath, a double living room, formal dining room, library and den. In New York, views command big bucks. This co-op contains 26 windows spanning four exposures, gracing the space with brilliant light and panoramic views. The luxurious master wing includes a spa bath, oversized dressing room and sitting area. Pre-war elements include beamed ceilings, archways, two wood burning fireplaces and oak parquet floors. Door and elevator attendants, as well as a live-in super provide full-time service in this chic building.
Parker previously placed the co-op on the market in March 2012 for $7.995 million. Without a buyer in sight, the home was quickly reduced to $7.25 million and later taken off the market all together. Property records also show that Parker had to buyout her ex and baby daddy Billy Crudup‘s stake in the property for $1.5 million in May 2005. That couldn’t have been an easy pill for Parker to swallow, considering that Crudup left her for Claire Danes while she was seven months pregnant with their child.
Edward C. Ferris of Brown Harris Stevens is the listing agent.

5-bedroom, 5½-baths, 4,000 square feet
This ain’t no laughing matter – comedic actor Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor have just hoisted their massive Manhattan duplex onto the market at a slight loss. The longtime couple purchased the 5-bedroom, 5½-bath apartment on August 21, 2008 for $10,000,000. Today, it came onto the market with a $9,600,000, as first reported by The Real Estalker.
It doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that if the Stiller/Taylor family gets their full asking price for the New York duplex, they’ll be taking a hard-to-stomach loss of $400,000. That’s not a lot of money to most Hollywood A-listers, but when you factor in the expansive renovations and upgrades made to the apartment in the time that they’ve owned it, the total loss could potentially balloon to the seven-figure mark. But who knows, the low-ish listing price could also be a super-savvy move on behalf of the Stillers. In the current market, many listings come to market at an attractive price, attract multiple offers and often sell for well above the initial listing price. Only time will tell whether or not this sale all turn out to be a real-life ‘Tower Heist’- aka a relative bargain for the future owner.
What will $9.6M big ones buy you from Ben and Christine? The listing dubs it as “The MOST beautiful duplex on Riverside Drive.” The spectacular two-story, 5-bedroom, 5½-bath apartment showcases glorious river views, every amenity, and impeccable design in a pre-War full-service building on the corner of Riverside Drive and West 84th Street. The upper floor features an enormous sun-flooded living room; a large eat-in cook’s kitchen with banquette, Viking professional oven, two dishwashers, and a large Sub-Zero refrigerator.
The lower level has private quarters with river views, including the master suite and three other large bedrooms. Each level can be accessed by elevator separately, but the duplex is connected internally by a stairwell.
The duplex also features a full professional media screening room with sound attenuation and an en-suite windowed full bath; a wet bar room with sink,
U-Line refrigerator-freezer-ice drawer, and electronic equipment storage; an entry foyer with powder room; and a proper riverfront maid’s room behind the kitchen with adjacent full bath, laundry room, and service entrance.

4-bedroom, 3-bath, 3,000 square feet
Three-time Emmy winning actress Edie Falco has listed her modest 4-bedroom, 3-bath New York duplex for $5.5 million, according to our friend The Real Estalker. According to property records, Falco purchased the home in New York’s famous Tribeca neighborhood in July 2004 for $3.8 million.
Famously known for her role as Carmela Soprano on HBO’s award winning series ‘The Sopranos,’ Falco has been most recently saving lives as the star of Showtime’s hit drama ‘Nurse Jackie.’ With those two hit roles under her belt, it’s no surprise that Falco is one of only two actresses to receive a SAG, Golden Globe AND Emmy Award within the same year.
For an actress with that much talent comes an extremely busy schedule. That being said, interior design may have taken the backseat, as this 3,000 square foot condo has quite a demur personality with minimal color and design throughout. This property, however, has great potential and offers amazing views off both its terracces on the first and second story.
Hardwood floors run up and down the penthouse and 12-foot ceilings surrounded by various sky-high windows allow for a bright and spacious living area. The living room comes complete with a wood-burning fireplace attached to an exposed brick wall, welcoming a very urban, downtown ambiance. The open kitchen is newly renovated and features stainless steel appliances, as well as an island/bar eating area.
Deborah Grubman and David Dubin of the Corcoran Group hold the listing.
