In Hollywood, the ever-changing personal lives of celebs is one of the biggest drivers in the real estate market. Marriages, babies and divorces keep the for-sale signs popping up around town. The latest change comes in the form of a divorce between Emmy-winning actress Patricia Arquette and her ex-husband, Thomas Jane.

First reported by The Real Estalker, Arquette and Jane sold their Hancock Park home for $2,775,000 on January 4, 2012. Coming in at 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 6,082 square feet, the dramatic Renaissance Revival estate was originally listed for $3,399,000. While they didn’t get full asking, they came out ahead. While still in the midst of marital bliss, the former couple purchased the home on January 10, 2003 for $2,250,000.

Emmy-winning actor David Hyde Pierce has just listed his stunning Spanish Colonial in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for $7,500,000. Best known as Dr. Niles Crane on Frasier’s 11-year run, Pierce purchased the home on March 25, 2003 for $3,625,000. He fancied it up with renovations and restorations in 2004, and is now seeking a buyer.

Now, it’s freshly re-listed for a lower price.

Kate Walsh is hopping on the celebrity real estate merry-go-round, listing her Los Feliz-area home for $3,995,000. The ride for Walsh has been an expensive one, and she’s likely to lose just under a million dollars – if she can get close to asking price for her 1928 Spanish mansion. Walsh paid $4,750,000 for the 5,940 square foot house in June of 2007, right before she embarked on her 15-month marriage to entertainment industry exec Alex Young.

While Walsh’s marriage didn’t last, hopefully she’ll have better luck in the real estate game. The listing on her for-sale home says it’s  ”the perfect marriage of classic old world charm and stunning modern updates.”  The residence features a large kitchen and family room that opens through French doors to beautiful garden with a spa, swimming pool and outdoor entertaining spaces. The main house is almost 6,000 square feet and has 4 bedrooms upstairs, each with en suite baths. In true Hollywood fashion, one bedroom is now a to-die-for walk-in closet. The gracious master suite has a fireplace, as does the den and the grand scale living room. The estate offers complete privacy and a circular drive way. A large 3-room guesthouse consists of 2 offices, a Pilates studio/gym and an updated bath.

Francis Bean Cobain, the daughter of late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love has just made the very grown up purchase of a $1,825,000 home in Los Angeles in a coveted Hollywood Hills location. According to the in-the-know Real Estalker and property records, the deal closed on July 27, 2011.

The acrimonious relationship between Cobain and her well-known mom has played out in the press over the last few years, so it’s no surprise the newly-legal teen is getting a crib of her own. The listing information for Cobain’s new home shows it measures 3,350 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The home was built in 1929 and bought by Kilborn in 2001 for $2,495,000, meaning Kilborn could potentially turn a $1,000,000 profit on his colorful home.
